We are recruiting a Contract Administrator to join the contracts team of a fast-growing international design-and-build contractor delivering large-scale hyperscale data centre projects across the Nordics.
This is a project-facing commercial position working closely with the Contracts Manager, Project Managers and wider site team. You will help ensure that contracts, subcontracts, changes, notices, payments and project correspondence are managed accurately and in accordance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Contracts Manager with the administration of client contracts, subcontracts, supplier agreements and purchase orders.
- Review contractual requirements and ensure that the project team understands its obligations, deliverables and key deadlines.
- Maintain contract registers, correspondence logs, change registers, claims registers and commercial records.
- Prepare, issue and track contractual notices, instructions, correspondence and responses.
- Support the management of variations, change orders, compensation events, extensions of time and claims.
- Gather technical, programme and commercial information to support variation and claim submissions.
- Track scope changes and ensure that commercial impacts are identified, documented and communicated.
- Support subcontract tendering, bid evaluations, contractual clarifications and awards.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with contractual requirements, scope, programme and documentation obligations.
- Assist with payment applications, subcontractor valuations, invoices and payment certification.
- Work with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, planners and cost-control teams to monitor project performance and commercial exposure.
- Identify contractual risks, non-compliance, delays and commercial opportunities for escalation.
- Prepare regular contract-status, change-control and commercial reports.
- Participate in project, subcontractor and commercial meetings, ensuring that decisions and actions are accurately recorded.
- Maintain complete, auditable and appropriately controlled contract documentation.
- Support final accounts, project close-out, handover documentation, warranties and contract completion requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Law, Business or a related discipline.
- Relevant practical experience may be considered in place of a formal qualification.
- Approximately two to five years of experience in contract administration, project coordination, assistant project management, quantity surveying, procurement or commercial construction.
- Experience within construction, engineering, MEP, EPC or another project-delivery environment.
- An understanding of how technical scope, programme, procurement and site activities affect contractual and commercial outcomes.
- Exposure to Norwegian construction contracts and relevant NS standards, including NS 8405, NS 8407, NS 8415 or NS 8417.
- Experience supporting subcontract administration, variations, payments, claims or contractual correspondence.
- Data centre, mission-critical, industrial or infrastructure project experience would be advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and document-management systems.
- Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
- The legal right to work in Norway or the ability to secure the required work authorisation.
