Project Controller – CAPEX / Industrial Projects
Location: Södertälje (Stockholm area), Sweden
On-site requirement: Minimum 3 days per week
Currently partnered with a renown global consultancy who are proactively seeking a Project Controller to support a portfolio of large-scale CAPEX projects within a highly regulated industrial environment. This is a hands-on, frontline role, where you will act as a key commercial partner across the business, not limited to a single project.
You will be actively involved in meetings, negotiations, and contractor interactions, ensuring strong cost control, commercial governance, and financial oversight across multiple projects.
MUST BE FLUENT IN SWEDISH
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive cost control, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple projects
- Deliver robust financial reporting, including budget vs actuals and variance analysis
- Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and financial models
- Act as a frontline commercial representative in meetings and negotiations with contractors and suppliers
- Challenge General Contractors (GC) on:
- Cost structures
- Scope definition and gaps
- Change orders and claims (variations)
Required Background & Experience:
- 5–12+ years of experience in project controlling, cost management, or similar roles
- Proven experience working with:
- Financial reporting and project performance tracking
- Cash flow forecasting and financial planning
- Contract management and procurement processes
- Cost-plus and fixed-price contract models
- Background in roles such as:
- Project Controller
- Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor (QS)
- Estimator
- Project Engineer / Construction Engineer
- Project Buyer / Procurement Specialist
Industry Experience:
- Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences experience is a strong advantage
- Alternatively:
- Energy
- Industrial / Manufacturing
- Construction
Additional Requirements:
- Able to work on-site in Södertälje at least 3 days per week
