It's cold this March in Brooklyn, but the clinical operations market is hot. So what are the trends?

When it comes to CRAs, there is quite a variety of situations and preferences. There is no one kind of CRA. Now more than two years into the COVID-19 pandemic, some, having experienced the benefits of fully remote work, are seeking to stay working from home. Others, road warriors and those disillusioned with being homebodies, are ready to hit the road.

 

As I've joked with candidates in layman's terms, it turns out that experiments can't conduct themselves. There is certainly no shortage of work, and there's something for everyone! Travel is once again a significant need with some clients looking for 60-70%+ travel. However, many are striking a deal with less or no travel to cater to the significant number of candidates only willing/able to work remotely.

 

 

 

 

 

By and large, candidates are concerned about work-life balance and company culture. Our clients, large and small, are following suit with smaller team sizes, more feasible workloads, and increases in salaries and hourly rates. For contractors in particular, there have even been increased opportunities for part-time work, which historically have been highly sought-after and more difficult to find.
