In our weekly blog series, we sit down each week with a different Thorite to get to know the people behind the scenes at Thor. From their career journeys to personal stories, this series will give you an inside look at the individuals who make our team so unique. This week, we have Anita Trigila, a Recruitment Consultant from our Engineering Team.
I work as a Consultant in the engineering team at Thor, specialising in the renewable energy sector for the Italian market.
The Italian Market Expansion. It was a challenging yet rewarding project where we had to navigate a completely new market, build relationships, and establish Thor’s presence in Italy. It was a monumental team effort, and seeing our hard work result in tangible growth was incredibly fulfilling.
Listening, empathy, and being firm.
The most valuable lesson I’ve learned in my career is to "Never show your cards first." It’s a reminder that in both business and life, patience and careful consideration can lead to better outcomes. Sometimes, holding back and listening more than you speak can give you a stronger advantage in negotiations and decision-making.
I didn’t have a clear idea of what I wanted to be, but I always knew that I wanted to make a positive impact on the people around me. Whether it was helping others, making a difference in my community, or simply being there for someone, my goal was to contribute to the well-being of others in meaningful ways.
Visiting Kruger National Park in South Africa to see cheetahs in their natural habitat.
it would definitely be my maternal grandma. She has always been a source of wisdom and warmth in my life, and I’d love the chance to sit down with her and hear her stories and experiences from a different perspective. Now that I’m older and have a better understanding of life and business, I’d also love to get her viewpoint on the entrepreneurial world today. Having worked for renowned brands like Chanel and Les Copains, I think her insights would be fascinating and incredibly inspiring.
It would be the ability to be in two places at the same time. There’s always so much going on, and being able to balance multiple responsibilities or seize two great opportunities simultaneously would be an invaluable skill.
Back in Italy I have 15 cats and 2 dogs!
We hope you enjoyed this glimpse into Anita's journey as much as we did!
