CapEX Project Manager
Responsibilities
As a core member of the site’s project team, you will play a critical role in delivering a portfolio of strategic engineering projects. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the wider Engineering function, working alongside a team of experienced Project Engineers to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.
In this role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of multiple CAPEX projects, which may include communication system upgrades, electrical infrastructure installations, loop testing and circuit validation, lighting and facility upgrades, and other site-wide engineering improvements. You will ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with internal standards and industry best practice.
You will be responsible for applying structured project management methodologies to drive consistent, streamlined project execution. This includes developing detailed project schedules, defining resource requirements, tracking progress against key milestones, and proactively managing project risks and issues. You will prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and accurate financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Regular communication with stakeholders is essential; you will provide timely updates to the business on project status, key deliverables, timelines, and budget performance. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of engineering project delivery across the site.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Level 7 or higher) in an Engineering discipline or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Project Engineering or Project Management role within a technical, manufacturing, or regulated environment.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering capital projects from concept through to handover.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration skills; able to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Solid understanding of cGMP requirements and experience working in a highly regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or medical devices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, budgets, and project documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with the ability to balance technical requirements, safety considerations, and operational needs.
