I am representing a well-capitalized, fast-scaling Data Center operator in the US in their search for their new Construction Leader. This individual will lead the 'capital development' construction portfolio, reporting to the C-Suite. If you want fast pace scaling, complexity, and unique low carbon sites, then this could be the next challenge.

From advanced AI Infrastructure campuses to mission critical projects backed by low-carbon energy portfolio, this is one of the most commercially and technically compelling mandates within my executive network.

For those of you currently working in a large DC operator, with strong tenure in the sector and a holistic technical competence, you will be positioned well to take this role, most likely in a Director, Senior Director, or VP position today.

The Role:

You’ll own a multi-site capital portfolio, connecting engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and strategy into a unified execution engine. From design reviews and long-lead procurement to scheduling, construction oversight, and commissioning, you’ll drive disciplined, scalable delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role with direct influence on the company’s growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct construction and field execution across major capital projects

• Oversee sourcing, bids, supplier performance, delivery timing, and tariff considerations

• Build and manage budgets, resource plans, and issue-mitigation strategies

• Partner with engineering teams to refine drawings, proposals, and technical designs

• Develop project schedules engineered for predictable, multi-site delivery

• Allocate resources to ensure consistent, on-time, on-budget execution

What You Bring:

• Senior leadership experience across large-scale capital projects in digital infrastructure, or industrial environments

• Strong procurement, commercial negotiation, and supply-chain acumen

• Ability to interpret and challenge engineering documentation and system designs

• A track record delivering complex builds at speed and scale

• A leadership style rooted in clarity, collaboration, and operational rigor
