A leading international engineering and construction firm operating across the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe is seeking a Senior Mechanical or Electrical Estimator. The company specializes in design and build contracts for end-user clients across the Food, Pharmaceutical, Logistics, Data Centre, and Advanced Manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret tender documentation, particularly regarding Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems
- Prepare material and subcontractor enquiries, including selecting potential suppliers
- Attend internal meetings focused on bid strategy and opportunity evaluation
- Conduct site visits to assess risks specific to project locations
- Contribute to design discussions and participate in design team meetings
- Prepare Bills of Quantities for tenders
- Develop detailed analytical cost estimates, including prelims
- Draft budgets and cost plans
- Compare and adjudicate subcontractor quotations
- Raise technical queries to ensure design information is complete for accurate pricing
- Maintain risk awareness and help compile the tender risk register
- Apply value engineering principles during design development
- Present the tender submission to senior stakeholders, highlighting key commercial considerations
- Complete and submit full tender documentation
- Ensure seamless project handover to delivery teams
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Substantial experience in estimating, quantity surveying, or related construction roles
- In-depth knowledge of MEP and HVAC systems, particularly for pharmaceutical projects
- Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) in Quantity Surveying
