Senior MEP Estimator – Data Center Projects (Europe & International)
Location: Europe (with travel flexibility for international projects)
Employment Type: Full-time, On-site (5 days per week)
About the Role
Proactively seeking an experienced Senior MEP Estimator to join my client's expanding estimating and pre-construction team, supporting large-scale data center and mission-critical projects across Europe and beyond.
The successful candidate will bring 5–6 years of hands-on experience in MEP estimating, a strong Quantity Surveying (QS) background, and the ability to lead cost planning, value engineering, and tendering processes for complex, high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and design documents to ensure all project elements are captured.
- Oversee quantity take-offs, cost breakdowns, and bid submissions for data center and mission-critical projects.
- Coordinate closely with design, engineering, procurement, and project management teams to align estimates and budgets.
- Manage subcontractor inquiries, evaluations, and pricing analysis.
- Provide value engineering input and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Support commercial risk assessments and participate in tender reviews and negotiations.
- Maintain and improve cost databases, historical pricing records, and benchmarking tools.
- On-site presence (5 days per week) is mandatory to support coordination, peer collaboration, and communication across project teams.
Requirements
- 5–6 years of MEP estimating experience, ideally focused on data center or mission-critical construction projects.
- Quantity Surveying (QS) qualification – mandatory.
- EU passport or EU citizenship – required for unrestricted travel and work across Europe.
- Proven expertise in estimating methodologies, cost analysis, and tendering processes.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, design coordination, and construction sequencing.
- Proficient in estimating software tools (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Revit, Excel, or equivalent).
- Excellent commercial acumen, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
- Confident communicator with experience leading multi-disciplinary coordination efforts.
