ABOUT THE ROLE

Location: Oslo (Office-based), with rotation supporting a major project in Northern Norway

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to be based in our Oslo office, supporting a prestigious multi-disciplinary data centre project in Northern Norway. The role sits within the general contractor’s organisation and is responsible for coordinating BIM engineers across all design disciplines, ensuring high-quality, clash-free, and construction-ready BIM deliverables.

You will act as the central point of contact for BIM across the design team, driving standards, workflows, and collaboration in line with project and client requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate BIM activities across a multi-disciplinary design team (structural, architectural, MEP, civil, etc.)
  • Manage and support BIM engineers to ensure consistent modelling standards and best practices
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 and project-specific BIM requirements
  • Lead model coordination, clash detection, and issue resolution using common data environments (CDEs)
  • Facilitate BIM coordination meetings with designers, contractors, and client representatives
  • Ensure timely production and delivery of coordinated BIM models and data
  • Support construction teams with model-based information, sequencing, and constructability reviews
  • Act as the interface between design, construction, and digital delivery teams
  • Maintain document control and model versioning within the CDE

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in BIM roles, with at least 2 years in a coordination or leadership capacity
  • Proven experience working for or closely with a general contractor
  • Experience on large-scale, complex projects (data centres, industrial, infrastructure, or commercial buildings preferred)
  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination and construction processes

 

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, Solibri, and BIM 360 / ACC
  • Strong knowledge of clash detection, model federation, and data management
  • Familiarity with IFC workflows and open BIM principles
  • Understanding of construction sequencing (4D) and quantity take-offs (5D) is an advantage

  • Strong leadership and coordination skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Norwegian is an advantage but not mandatory)
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-profile project environment

 

Location & Rotation

  • Primary base: Oslo office
  • Project support: Prestigious data centre project in Northern Norway
  • Rotation arrangements will be agreed to support project needs while maintaining an Oslo base
