MEP Estimator – Data Center Projects (Europe & International)

Location: Europe (with potential travel for international projects)

Employment Type: Full-time, On-site (5 days per week)

About the Role

Looking for a skilled MEP Estimator with proven data center project experience to join my client in a dynamic pre-construction and estimating team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate, competitive, and detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems across large-scale data center and mission-critical projects throughout Europe and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection) across multiple stages of design and tender.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to ensure scope and pricing accuracy.
• Collaborate closely with the pre-construction, design, and project management teams to support pricing, value engineering, and procurement.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and assess material, labor, and subcontractor costs.
• Participate in bid reviews, risk analysis, and commercial evaluations for major data center projects.
• Maintain and update cost databases, benchmarks, and historical project data.
• Support coordination meetings with peers and stakeholders — on-site presence 5 days per week is required for collaboration and alignment.
• Provide input into cash flow forecasts, budget control, and project cost planning.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in MEP estimating, specifically on data center or mission-critical projects.
• Quantity Surveying (QS) qualification – mandatory.
• EU passport or EU citizenship – required (to facilitate unrestricted travel and work across Europe).
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, design coordination, and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Revit, Excel, or similar).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines across regions.
